Graphing

Well we finally had our math test on wednesday. I did good i got 94%. The math test was on surface area and volume of 3d shapes, It is really confusing at first to do the surface area, but after a while it gets easier. It takes a while to do those types of questions, thye take up a lot of paper to if you do it neatly. I think that for this unit in math we are doing it on Graphs. Graphs aren’t hard to do right know, but they just take a long time do them if you want it done neatly. So I have one graph left to do, but it shouldn’t take a lot of time to get it finished. Well i should probably go and finish it so I dont have to do it later. Ttyl.

Conference

Well I guess that this is my last podcast blog. Me and Ellyn finally had our conference. We planed out what we were going to say and this time and we got 10/10. On our last conference we didn’t plan anything and we got 10/10, but I felt more organized when we did plan out what we were going to say.

  Well we got 71,000 page views and 1387 downloads. I am very surprised because I didn’t think that our podcasts would be that interesting to download. I wonder if people know that we are grade 7/8’s making those podcasts and vlogs. One thing that does scared me about those many downloads is that what if we gave out a little to much information and people track us down, and come and get us. I really hope that it doesn’t happen.

Last podcast

Well this week was our very last podcast! I am happy that we are done making these. They are getting boring to do. Ellyn and me have absolutely no more ideas to do for entertainment. We had to ask Greg what to do and he said to do a movie review on hoot. We decided to do a movie review. Me and Ellyn got a hang of talking into the microphone without a whole bunch of popping. We would usually have to re-record if we messed up when we were talking. We got really good at putting it all together. Well this will also be my last post on podcasts. That might be good because I don’t have anymore ideas for blogs on podcasts either.

Second last.

This week was our second last vlogs/podcasts. I enjoyed making podcasts but I am starting to not like it as much. We are running out of ideas and the last two podcasts that we did we are running short on time.  I don’t really know what people think of our podcasts though, but one thing that I do know is that we have improved from our very first podcast. On our first podcast we started to blab on and on and it was very boring to listen to. When we make our podcast we keep in mind to make it interesting and to make sure we don’t blabber. When we are recording the podcasts we listen to each other to see if we personally would want to listen to it. One thing that me and my partner struggle on is making it interesting and thinking of knew ideas. Well i should go because I am gonna start blabbering soon.

Weekly 5!

Well this week wasn’t the best week that we had for our podcasts.We kind of ran out of ideas to do for our podcast so we did one on advice and movies. It was okay but our best one yet was last weeks which was on jokes. I thought it was good at least. At least for this podcast we didn’t have to put in a bunch of extra time to finish it. This one was faster I think, because we went with the flow. We didn’t type out the entire script and in the end only use half of it. I think that making podcasts aren’t all that hard but you have to have an idea of what you are doing. The first podcast that you do is difficult but it gets easier as you go.

Camera Skills

Hi…We have finished three whole vlogs or podcasts. So we had to have a meeting with Mr… Fisher. Me and Ellyn decided that our vlogs and podcasts are boring. We tried so hard to make them fun but it seems impossible. At least for the third podcast we didn’t talk and talk and talk. Eventually everyone was talking overtop of our podcast because it was so boring. You don’t realize how hard it is to make a podcast or vlog until you do one. Me and Ellyn made one vlog so far. We thought it was really good, but our teacher said it was a little bit shaky. It kind of was but we tried our hardest and yes we did use a tripod. But i have absolutely have no skills using a camera, so i don’t no how it shouldn’t be shaky especially because we used a tripod. Oh well, life goes on. But I have to go.

Podcasts

This week we have been doing our first vlog or podcast. We are allowed to have a group.  My group has one other person in it then me. Our category is entertainment. For our first post we did a podcast on One tree hill and the Bachelor. I think that it went pretty  good. We had a few troubles starting out though. There is a copyright law that we had to follow when we were picking out our music so I was going to play a piece of music on the piano. It wouldn’t turn into a mp3 file though, so we had to pick out different music. The next time that we are doing our post we are doing a vlog. I think that it is going to be on fun stuff and boring stuff.

The canadian copyright is stating that you may not use music, stories, poems etc.. on something with out permission from the owner.  You can use it though if you own it. You may use a little bit of music, poems etc… if  you are going to talk about it for little bit then you can use about 10 secs for an example. You may use music, poems etc… if you ask for permission to use their piece. You would probably have to pay money though. You would have to ask the owner, the person who publishes it and the person who sings it, reads it etc.. first.

Exams finally done!

Exams are finally done and we are back to another day of school. I did good on my exams except for my science exam. I could have done better. Over all I think i did pretty good on my exams.After exams were over I was so happy. I went out and had fun instead of staying in the school and studing and also working on my sweater that we were making in Home-Ec. It is a relief that we are done our exams I hope that I will try hard enough and end up getting exempted in the finale exams.I have to go ttyl.

Exams!

I hate exam week.I am so happy that it is over now!I did good on my exams but i could have done better on my science exam.I dont know what i got on my L.A. exam yet. L.A. exam was really long!I am so happy i dont have to study anymore.I am sick of studing… I think just about everyone is.
